DSPA.nl develops, produces, and delivers highly effective and innovative aerosol fire suppression systems. With an extensive network of distributors and installers, we operate globally, with a presence in over 55 countries. In light of our sustained growth, we are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team.

 

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in the Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects from the handover by the Sales Department to the final commissioning and handover to the customer. Your responsibilities will encompass creating project timelines with key dates, milestones, and risk factors. You will also design all the materials needed to complete the project within the allocated time and budget.

 

Furthermore, this position entails the creation of 2D technical and electrical drawings, as well as other documentation, in accordance with project requirements and DSPA policies. You will also provide training to colleagues and external customers on-site as necessary.

 

The Electrical Project Engineer must have the ability to design fire detection and suppression systems in compliance with specifications, generate comprehensive document and drawing packages, and ensure that orders are constructed and commissioned according to customer and project specifications. As a part of the technical department, you will act as a bridge between the Sales and After-Sales departments, working closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure that all projects are executed on schedule and within budget.

 

Your primary responsibilities will include:

 

Designing and specifying fire suppression systems integrated in PLC/SCADA and DCS systems.

Participating in HAZOP and SIL studies.

Proposing alternative solutions, evaluating them in various scenarios, and quantifying costs.

Collaborating with contractors and suppliers, evaluating proposals, attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and supervising practical project implementation.

On larger projects, cooperating with engineering partners and teams from other DSPA BV branches, including technical coordination.

Applying your knowledge of functionality, mountability, accessibility, and maintainability to the model to ensure that contractors can build it according to our model without revisions.


Qualifications:

A minimum of an MBO 3/4 diploma in a technical field, such as electrical engineering, security engineering, computer engineering, or security engineering, preferably supplemented with an installation and maintenance expert BMI diploma.

Knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of specialized instruments for diagnostic purposes.

Previous experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment are preferred.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

The capability to make accurate decisions, often under pressure, while always keeping the customer in mind.

A proactive attitude regarding safety, with a commitment to accident prevention and safety awareness, and maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy workspace.

A valid driver's license is required for this position, along with work authorization for the Netherlands, and you will report to the General Manager.

Knowledge of or experience with the following is an advantage:

 

Fire detection and suppression systems.

Programming (function block diagram, structured text).

Electrical/instrumentation panel design.
